We are writing this for our friends Tracy and Jim Dean, in hopes to help their financial burden a bit.
About three weeks ago Jim and Tracy were coming back from their trip ftom Tampa , Florida. Having stopped to get the kids dinner, Tracy, who is only 46 years old, experienced weakness in her legs and could not speak. Within a few minutes that episode passed, she then experienced a very sharp pain in her head. The jpain went away with in about 20 minutes. Their intent was to possibly go up to Duke University if nothing subsided. Tracy immediately felt better and they continued on their trip and got home the next day. Over the weekend she was just extremely tired and ended up seeing a neurologist at the following Tuesday. After a few test it was determined that Tracy had a blood clot in her lung and had had four strokes in her brain. She was then immediately taken by ambulance to Fairfax Hospital , where she spent a few days in the stroke unit. She unfortunately ended up back in the hospital the following Sunday, with a small TIA , which is basically another small mini stroke. She has been back at home with a few symptoms, but is going back in the hospital next Monday. It has been determined that she has a small hole that was found in the top of her heart. Unfortunately, this is how one of the clots went through that ended up rupturing in her brain. As you can imagine, her husband Jim and the boys have been extremely overwhelmed by not having their mom and their favorite person with them all the time. Friends have reached out and offered food, rides, and anything that they need. we are hoping we can raise some money to help the financial burden that they are going to have with medical bills and Tracy being out of work for a month. The medical bills are going to be exorbitant . They are lucky that they do have excellent insurance, but money does have to be paid for a deductible first. Tracy already had three MRIs and three CT scans.. Bills started rolling in the next day. For those of you that know Jim and Tracy and the boys, you know that they are a very loving and giving family and would do anything for anyone. We are hoping that you all can open your hearts and do the same. Anything will help.
