Menstrual health is a human right — yet millions of women and girls across Africa still lack access to safe, affordable, and dignified menstrual products. This gap forces many to resort to unsafe materials, which can lead to infections, shame, missed school days, and loss of income.

The Ubuntu Pad Project is a multi-country initiative serving communities in Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, and Uganda. Together with local partners, we’re addressing menstrual poverty through a twofold approach:

Sustainable Reusable Kits – Empowering women to produce and distribute high-quality reusable pads that last up to five years. These reduce waste, save money, and ensure girls can stay in school and women can participate fully in community life. They also create local jobs and training opportunities, building long-term sustainability.

Emergency Disposable Pads – In refugee settlements and areas of extreme poverty, we provide safe, disposable pads as a stop-gap solution. This ensures women and girls in urgent need don’t suffer today while we build toward a sustainable tomorrow.
