Ubuntu Mundo’s mission is to feed the children of the world.

Working in rural South Africa, where 70% of children live in multidimensional poverty, Ubuntu Mundo serves healthy meals each day, nourishing young lives and creating hope. But they can’t do it alone.

You have the power to make a difference. Join us in the fight against childhood hunger by donating to Friends of Ubuntu Mundo today. Your contribution will directly support our efforts to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry.

Feeding Children: Immediate Impact, Lasting Change

Ubuntu Mundo provides hot, nutritious meals to over 700 children each day — meals that support children's immediate health, long-term well-being, and future opportunities.

Ubuntu Mundo is more than just food. It's about creating vibrant, welcoming spaces for children to learn and grow. After meals, they offer enriching programs in music, art, and education — giving children the chance to discover their talents and build self-esteem in a safe, supportive environment. They are not just feeding children; they are fueling their potential.

Farming for the Future: Sustainability through Social Enterprise

Ubuntu Mundo has always been driven by the vision of creating a sustainable solution to hunger. They started a commercial farm as a social enterprise that will fuel the feeding programs. 100% of the profits from the farm support the growth and expansion of Ubuntu Mundo, enabling them to reach more communities and feed more children for years to come.

Friends of Ubuntu Mundo

Inspired by the work of Ubuntu Mundo's founders — Cecilya Bravo and Roland Oosterhout — a group of New Yorkers formed Friends of Ubuntu Mundo to support this important work. Through our annual grant-making process, Friends of Ubuntu Mundo supports Ubuntu Mundo. We’re asking you to join us.

Join Us in Nourishing Futures

Ubuntu Mundo is not just about feeding children today. It's about building a brighter tomorrow. When you support this work, you’re doing more than providing a meal. You’re investing in the future of every child served, helping them break the cycle of poverty and create a life of opportunity.

Together, we can make sure that no child goes hungry, and that every child has a chance to dream, learn, and grow.

Will you join us in this mission? Your support will make an immediate difference and help us build a lasting legacy of hope and opportunity.

OUR GOAL OF $15,000 WILL FEED 125 CHILDREN FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!
