Water bill in Appalachia

Hi, I have been serving the folks of Appalachia for the last 14 years, returning every year through Greenfield Hill Congregational Church and Appalachia Service Project. These two organizations do amazing work.

I just returned from Huntington West Virginia where I worked on the home of a dear woman recently widowed, caring for her challenged Dad and two grand daughters, working two jobs, scraping together the money to keep her family afloat, while struggling. Miss D has a heart of gold, and her two granddaughters recognize the impact she is making in their lives with words like, " I wouldn't be here without my Me Mawm, she is my rock!" "She helped me through my darkest hour", Fayth, age 12.

Miss D cannot afford her water bill. She has no water in her home and must carry it all in. On top of it the water company refuses to work with her on a payment plan. They want the entire bill paid in full in order to return her service, which I find criminal. I cant stop thinking about her and her gentle demeanor and perseverance through her challenges. I want to get her water restored. $6134 fixes this problem. Please help
