I am so angry and upset and disappointed. This morning my grandpa was assaulted as he took his daily walk with his dogs. A group of three young Latino men were driving in an old gray car and pulled over next to him. They pulled a knife on him and asked him if he had any money. He said no and they proceeded to kick him down and attack him. They took his wallet with what little cash he had and severely slashed his hand. He required 27 stitches. I’m so disappointed that it was mi gente that chose to attack an elderly Hispanic man, let alone my grandpa, the sweetest and most loving man I have ever known. And so many others would say the same about him. I’m grateful that his hand was the only injury and that he was able to walk away. If anyone knows any details of who these men might’ve been, any tips are welcome. This happened near Vermont and 23rd St in Los Angeles, CA.
