UPDATE: I really wish I could say otherwise, but Buddy wasn't able to recover. I said goodbye to him in the early hours of December 5th. Unfortunately, even with medical intervention, urinary tract issues often end this way.

I'm.. heartbroken, but I can at least take comfort in the fact that we did everything we could for him. And it's thanks to the donations I received that I was able to do that. Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity. We gave him the best shot we could.

But.. I'm still left looking at over $10,000 in medical bills to pay off. If you'd like to donate to try and help me and my loved ones financially recover, I can't overstate how much it'd be appreciated. My only income is disability aid, so any help at all would be huge.

My name is Zanni, and I'm the owner of Buddy, my little 2 and a half year old kitty. Buddy has been in and out of the vet clinic and vet hospital since the start of November. He had a urinary blockage that required surgery, then a herniated bladder as a result of surgical complications, and now the inflammation of his bladder as a result of that hernia is blocking his urinary tract again and he is unable to function without a catheter.

On top of being incredibly painful, urinary blockages are life threatening, as if the bladder isn't able to empty, it can eventually burst, which often ends in death via infection. This is a very serious matter that he's been dealing with, and we've basically reached our final chance to get him back to his happy, healthy self.

But the problem is that we've spent over $9000 CAD just this month, and it's getting to the point where the care he needs is beyond our ability to pay. And if we can't pay, we may not be able to get him the care he needs to survive.

I'll be real. We're facing the possibility of losing him forever if we can't afford the hospitalization he needs to recover. Every extra day that we can afford gives him a better chance at making it through this.

Please, any help that you are able to give, be it donations or even just sharing this link on social media or with people you know, I cannot tell you how much we'd appreciate it. Buddy's been through so much, and I really want to be able to get him through it and back home where he belongs.
