Jill's Breast Cancer Journey

I have recently been diagnosed with Grade 3 Ductile Carcinoma. As I am young and healthy, I have been living here in Mexico without a private healthcare plan. The cost of private health care here in Mexico is much more affordable than treatment back home in Canada so I've decided to continue my journey here. After seeking the opinions of 2 different Oncologists, one in Oaxaca City and another in Mexico City, I’ve decided to move forward with my treatment in Mexico City. The care I have have received so far has been incredible and the treatment plan is still evolving. I've undergone surgery to remove the tumor but I have a long road of treatment ahead. Consultations, pathology tests, hospital stays, surgery fees, flights, radiation and chemotherapy are all things I'm saving for. I've been absolutely blessed to have my accommodation and some transportation provided by a good friend living here in Mexico city.
