On Sunday, May 18th, someone tried to end their life in front of me. I did what I could to stop them. The person became very angry because I stopped them, in turn, this is the price I paid. I was transferred to 3 different hospitals and underwent 8 hours of optical surgery. My retina is completely detached, my cornea needed to be repaired the best they could, liquid stitches above my eye and a cut next to optical nerve to release pressure to at least save my eyeball. I may never see again out of my right eye and my left eye currently has no depth perception, but the optical surgeon hopes when the swelling goes down, I will regain full vision in my left eye...time will tell. My family, friends, and fiancee are being extremely supportive and hopeful in my healing process. Unfortunately, I am out of work due to this injury, so I am coming forward to ask for help to get through an extremely trying time in my life. I am not one to ask for things, but this time, I am needing to look at a bigger picture. This has and will continue to put a financial strain on me amongst other obstacles I need to face.
I do want to say thank you to anyone who took time to read this.
