Save spuds life❤️

Hi,

My name is Spud. I am three months old, and I urgently need your help to save my life. Without help, I won’t ever get the chance to see springtime. Or likely even winter.

The kind volunteers at The Next Chapter, a horse rescue charity in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire (Registered Charity Number 1202346), are helping me with my words.

I arrived here a week ago. I’m too young to be away from my mum, really, but the team of volunteers are keeping me fed around the clock, so I know that I am safe in that respect.

The vet told the volunteers that I have a fracture in my leg, called a Salter Harris Type 3 Fracture. You can see it on the x-ray. It is only going to get worse as I grow up and get heavier.

But, as I’m still so young, the vet says I can have two operations to fix my leg! This is amazing news, right!

Except that the charity can’t afford to pay an estimated £3,500 for it. And that is never mind the cost of getting me to a Specialist in Newmarket and back, the extra bedding and the daily vet visits I will need.

So, that’s where I need your help. Anything that you can spare, even just £1 or £2, could help get me my operation. I need it really urgently, as it will no good once I am older, so please help me, you will be saving my life.

If I can have the operation, I can lead a full and normal life.

If I can’t, well, they’re going to have to put me to sleep. That will be it for me. I’ll never see a springtime. I’ll probably not even see winter, it is that urgent.
