Hello. My name is Nick, and I am asking today for some help.
2022 was a very rough year for me, I racked up lots of credit card debt, switched jobs, and moved into an apartment in the bay area. The new job I started wasn't as consistent as I thought it would be, and pretty much every decision I made led to some kind of financial loss. This, paired with raising living costs, has driven me deep into debt, even while working as much as I could.
So, I have made the very difficult decision to move out of state. I can no longer afford to live here and am now looking for opportunities elsewhere. A very generous friend has offered me a place to stay, and I am actively looking for work out there, with a couple of interviews already lined up.
This brings me to why I am making this post. I have concluded that I need help. Moving costs, catching up on a few bills that have slipped, and trying to salvage what's left of my credit and my options. This was not an easy decision or one that I make lightly. Other financial options have been considered, including filing for bankruptcy, but the downsides of that are extreme, and I feel that if I can just survive this rough patch, I'll be better on the other side.
During this time, I am actively looking for work to make ends meet. I am selling furniture and personal belongings. I believe in working for my place in the world, despite how bleak things can look at times. I will do whatever is necessary to carry on.
If you choose to donate, my deepest gratitude goes out to you. If you can not and can spread the word to your network, I will be equally grateful. Words of encouragement and well wishes will always be appreciated.
