Hey, there. I'm Chris, and my little boy, Buckley, needs your help.
I took my baby to the ER on April 1st (unfortunately not an April Fool's), because he had fluid accumulating in his belly and was walking really slowly. After draining his abdomen and running lots of tests, both his ER and Primary Care vets suspected lymphoma. Obviously, my heart instantly shattered when they told me.
Over the last five weeks, we’ve seen specialists and had many more tests, x-rays, bloodwork, etc. done, to the tune of over $4K. For a few weeks, the oncologists were not convinced that this was a case for them.
After a big and sudden downturn in the last week of April, we found ourselves once again at the ER. This time, after more testing, we got a confirmed lymphoma diagnosis.
Currently, Buckley is responding very well to a steroid treatment. Each day is such a gift, and we are thankful for each one of you who has helped to give us more time.
In the first week of May, we will chat with the specialists again to discuss all of our options moving forward.
Any small amount of help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm really doing my best to help him so we can figure out what the next best, reasonable steps are. It's been a VERY difficult, confusing, hopeful, painful, and frustrating few weeks.
I have been so moved and touched by the love, kindness, and generosity of so many people. It’s so moving to be able to find the hidden blessings and miracles within a tragic and painful situation.
Buckley is literally my angel, and he's the best. He deserves the best care, too, and we could really use a little help with that right now. Thank you, so much.
