We are looking for donations to buy the Bazaar assets from Onward VR, so we can re-create it.
We are going to ubershader it up, to give it more realistic-looking graphics (even better than the assets look themselves), and remove the rooftops.
SwampBoogie and Bluega have years of Onward map-making experience and have produced dozens of maps. We came across the asset pack for Bazaar, and we would like to buy it so we can recreate it, but it's $600, which is more than we would like to spend personally, so we figured we would ask the community.
Swamp and Bluega will put up $100 each, so we need an additional $400 to make this work.
We will be applying a really cool shader made by Vires from the onward community which will make it look significantly better than the screenshots in the link below. (This link is of the asset pack.) This shader adds normal maps, and SH directional lighting, and has been used on maps such as Redlight Greenlight, Warehouse District, and parts of Slums. Bazaar is low poly enough where we believe we can use it on everything in it.
We’re going to overhaul the visuals with upgraded rendering and lighting to make the environment feel far more realistic and immersive—like you’re actually in the space, not just looking at game assets. Expect richer depth, more natural-looking surfaces, and an overall atmosphere that pulls you in. We’ll also be removing the rooftops to keep players grounded in the environment and focused on a more believable, tactical gameplay experience.
If successfully funded you should see this released in early January.
