Gloria's 40th Birthday Fundraiser for Shivakali
Donation protected
I'm turning 40 this year!!
And while I had different plans for 2020 and my 40th birthday, I am still counting my blessings during this pandemic.
As I reflect on my 40 years of life and the last decade, I see all the highlights, the hard times, the laughter, the gorgeous places I've visited, and the beloved soulmates I've found. It is clear that many of my happiest moments have been with Shivakali Yoga at teacher trainings and retreats in the Desert, Bali, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Los Angeles, and the Redwoods.
Serge Bandura and I launched Shivakali Yoga in 2015, and we are blessed to share sacred teachings with modern-day yogis from all over the world. It's a passion project for both us. As a spiritual family, we drop into our hearts, we listen to each other, pray together, love on Mother Earth, and go out to serve our communities with wisdom and compassion.
This past year, we had several financial losses, and because of COVID, we sadly had to cancel trainings in the Philippines, Costa Rica, and Bali. So since we can't celebrate together through yoga and travel this year, I figured what better way to dedicate my birthday to raising funds to continue sharing yoga with the world!
Here's how we will use the funds:
- Award THREE $2000 Scholarships to 3 BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students who apply for 2021 Shivakali Yoga Teacher Trainings.
- Support operational expenses for Shivakali Yoga, including and not limited to: retreat venue deposits, airfare and ground transportation, educational supplies, guest faculty, administration, advertising, and professional development.
Your love and support mean the world to me. Your gift will honor the past 20 years I have dedicated to my spiritual path, from living off-grid on the Big Island, to studying in India and practicing Yoga, Buddhism, Bhakti, Tantra, and many other wellness modalities. I celebrate my parents, my teachers and everything they have taught me, and I am committed to spending the rest of my life sharing the teachings wherever I go.
My birthday is on August 15th, so please consider making a donation by then!
I love you. Thank you. Be well and God Bless!
