Fighting Multiple Sclerosis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ashley Sypor! I'm a 33yr old Mom of two beautiful girls, and I have Multiple
Sclerosis! Three years ago I went almost completely blind out of no where. I had the worst head pain you can imagine and half of my body went numb! I went to the emergency room and after a ct scan I was sent to Weston Wisconsin where I spent 2 weeks on steroids and learned my diagnosis. In the blink of an eye my life changed.. I wish I could say I've adjusted but I'm still figuring out how to live with this incurable disease that I will fight for the rest of my life. This has not been an easy journey. After a year of doing well on my first medication, I had a major anaphylactic response and almost lost my life. I have tried another three medications since and I have responded negatively to all with allergic reactions. I have been turned away by neurologists and after a lot of searching found one over 3hrs away willing to try. I hopefully will be trying a fifth medication soon. Spending two years off medication has let my ms become progressively worse. I lose my eyesight regularly, I fall almost daily, there are many days I can't leave bed due to pain. My left side has become greatly effected and I've lost almost all use in that leg. I've had to stop working. I've had to stop driving. I was once a person who had 2+ jobs and made a good living as a waitress. I loved my community and miss it dearly. I have filed for disability but it takes time. My new neurologist is ordering a-lot of new tests and because of this I have to drive long distances to hospitals. Bills are piling up, and I have no extra money for travel and car expenses. To say hopelessness is setting in is a understatement. I am not a person to ask for help. I am the person who is usually trying to help. But now I am reaching out and asking that if anyone is able, and could pay something forward I would greatly appreciate it. Sending love and thanks. -Ashley
