UASLE Scholarship Fund
Tax deductible
Welcome to the Urban Assembly School for Leadership and Empowerment (formerly UAS Criminal Justice) fundraising page, benefiting the students of UASLE. We were founded in 2007 (as UASCJ) with just a sixth grade, grew to a full 6-12, and have now graduated eight classes. The Class of 2020 achieved a 96% graduation rate, around 20 points above the city average. Our alumnae attend or have graduated from colleges across the country, including Barnard, Columbia, Emory, Harvard, NYU, Princeton, Smith, UPenn, Wesleyan, SUNYs, CUNYs, and other institutions. Our current seniors have started to receive their college acceptances and we want to ensure they have the financial support necessary to attend and thrive at their chosen schools.
Your support is needed now more than ever.
Please help us continue to provide our young female, trans, and non-binary students with a well-rounded education and a network of support that is critical to their success. 100% of the funds we raise go to scholarships for our students to help them afford a college education. The exorbitant cost of a high-quality college education is overwhelming for our students, 94% of whom qualify for free/reduced lunch. Your financial support in the past has allowed us to disburse approximately $20,000 each year.
Stay safe, healthy and we look forward to staying connected to you.
With much gratitude,
