Biggie

Hi, my name is Biggie, I am a 9 year old Boston Terrier. I have been with my family since I was 9 weeks old. I have a human mom, dad, brother and 2 sisters. I have had a problem with ear infections for many years that have been controlled with a flush and ear drops. I went to the vet because my ear swelled up and they thought it was a hematoma, they scheduled me for surgery to drain it 1 month out and on the day of the surgery were concerned because my ear felt hard. They are thinking it is a mass or severe inner ear canal infection. I have seen 1 other vet, and ER vet, a surgeon and an ENT. I have a heart murmur and do not qualify for the more affordable laser surgery due to the severity of the infection. They are needing to do surgery to remove the inner ear canal and any mass if found. The CT scan, Echo and surgery are very expensive and the only way to correct the problem, the other option is to control my pain and symptoms just enough to make me comfortable but the doc says eventually some of the meds will stop working. If you are able to provide any help it will be greatly appreciated as the doctor believes that I still have a lot of years left to be with my family.
