Help Build Leadership Skills for Women Workers!
We need your help to send young women to the annual United Association for Labor Education Summer Schools!
For more than 40 years, the United Association for Labor Education (UALE) Summer Schools have provided leadership, skill-building, networking, and educational programs to train and empower women workers to take on leadership roles in labor organizations.
These regional summer schools provide a unique, rigorous, and immersive experience - one suited to the best innovations of the current labor movement. The themes, topics, workshops, and panels speak to the urgency for gender equality in leadership, solidarity, and movement-building creativity.
Workers are under attack, and it’s time for a renewed commitment to developing our next generation of leaders.
This year's four regional schools will be held in:
Midwest - Iowa City, Iowa
Northeast - Long Island
Southern - Nashville, TN
Western - Vancouver, Canada
It costs $700 to fund one scholarship for a young woman worker.
This fundraising campaign will provide scholarships to at least four young workers (35 and under) to attend the 2019 summer schools. Our campaign will enable at least one young women to attend each regional school on scholarship. Any additional money raised will provide more full or partial scholarships for young women to participate in these unique summer schools.
