Update 11/11/16
To all colleagues;
It is with the greatest of sadness that I deliver to you today the heartbreaking news of the death of our colleague and friend, Felix Aquino. I’ve been informed that Felix passed away yesterday peacefully and was surrounded by his family and close friends. On behalf of all of us here at United, I have taken the liberty of sending out to his family, our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy.
Felix will be deeply missed here, leaving behind now only those fond memories we have of him. I pass on to all of you, that we do not grieve his death, but rather, celebrate his life. He always did enjoy life to the fullest. Felix was generous to all and the community. He was highly regarded by everyone who ever had the opportunity to meet him.
Back in 1989, when Felix joined United, he took on the position of a Cabin Serviceman. Over the 27 years, he worked his way into the position as a Base Material Coordinator with SFOLC. Regardless of the challenges he may have had along the way, everyone who’d ever had the privilege of working with him, always found him a special pleasure to work with.
Such an extraordinary person Felix was. This is truly a great loss to United and to our community as a whole. He will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Viewing will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 5pm at St. Timothy Church at 1515 Dolan Ave., San Mateo. Memorial at 7pm
