Synopsis

Niagara is an original musical about thirteen daredevils who took the plunge and went over Niagara Falls. It explores the reasoning and results of risking one's life for a chance of riches, glory, or ironically, self-preservation. We join the real-life daredevils as they recount their tales in the Bridge Street Tavern in ways as wild and varied as the daredevils themselves as they drink, laugh, cry and sing the night away.

Niagara spans over 100 years of history. Its thirteen daredevils make up a footnote of the over 5,000 people who are documented to have gone over the falls. With orchestrations as vast as the stories they accompany, Niagara is certain to connect with audiences of any era.

Directors Note

Hello! My name is Kyle Munro- the Director and Arranger of Niagara.

Niagara has been in development for over two years, in which time it has been produced and performed twice, spanning from Connecticut to Maryland. Now, we need your help to produce this show for its third run in Washington D.C., performed at the D.C. Arts Center! With your assistance, not only will you be providing opportunities for working actors and musicians and producers, but contributing to the launch of this show to new heights and venues- with your help, you can assist us in bringing new, live theatre back to the world.

Funding Goals

Funding for Niagara will be used to pay for transportation for the cast and crew, costs of performing at the location, production costs such as costume and set supplies, and advertising. Any money left over after these costs will go towards future productions of Niagara.
