Support Kadyn's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected

It is with heavy hearts that we share some devastating news. Shauna, a 5th-grade teacher at Hawthorne Elementary in Waukesha, and her 14-year-old son, Kadyn, a freshman at Oak Creek High School, have been facing an incredibly challenging health journey.
About a month ago, Kadyn began experiencing general aches, pains, fatigue, and a loss of appetite. What initially seemed minor soon escalated into severe stomach pain. After numerous doctor visits and emergency appointments, Kadyn was finally referred to Children’s Hospital, where an ultrasound revealed a large mass in his abdomen. A subsequent CT scan confirmed the presence of an extremely large tumor, which doctors believe is connected to his pancreas but cannot confirm based on size and the fact it is touching multiple organs.
Kadyn was scheduled for surgery next week, but the new plan is to biopsy the tumor first, with the hope that it may shrink with chemotherapy. This approach could reduce the likelihood of multiple organ removals. Due to the extreme rarity of this tumor, the path ahead remains uncertain. Further steps with oncology will likely be necessary, and a long recovery road is expected
To care for Kadyn during his surgery, recovery, and ongoing treatment, Shauna will need to take a leave of absence from work. We are reaching out to the community, family, and friends for support to help alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses and lost income during this unimaginable time.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference for Shauna and Kadyn. Your kindness and generosity will provide not only financial relief but also emotional comfort during this challenging journey.
Please keep Kadyn, Shauna, Eric, Lexi, Jenna, and family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for showing them the strength and compassion to get them through these challenging times.
