Dylan Waduck is an incredibly friendly, kind and athletic boy who was  just diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.  It was only a week ago when Dylan began experiencing soreness in his shoulder/back and had difficulty breathing.  After doctor visits on-line and going to the emergency department in Bowmanville, he was rushed to Sick Kids on Monday, May 4th.  At 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning he had almost 3L of fluid drained from his lungs.  After a battery of tests, a few short hours later, Dylan's life was forever changed when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Since this time Gina has not left the hospital and has remained by his side. Due to the COVID -19 outbreak only one parent is able to be with Dylan at a time, so Dylan, his brother Kyle, Gina and Jamie haven't been together since his diagnosis. Jamie has been working tirelessly at his job building PPE to support our front-line workers during this pandemic.

Despite his diagnosis, Dylan remains a positive, strong, determined and courageous young man who will beat this!

This diagnosis has changed the Waduck family household. They are an extremely strong, compassionate, and loving  family who will need all of our support over the upcoming months and years to defeat this horrible disease.

It is the goal of the D.E.A.A. Community to raise money for the Waduck family.   Please donate whatever you are able to during this time. All monies raised will go to support the family and their expenses (i.e., food, freezer, gas, etc.)  Thank you for all your support!
