My dear friend, Susan Jolly, lost her mom in a house fire on Saturday, May 8th, in Yuma, Az. Her dad, Jack, who lost his wife of 68 years and the love of his life, was hospitalized as well due to smoke inhalation. Their home, and everything they had accumulated and cherished throughout their marriage are gone. When the fire engulfed the house, Jack, who is 87, carried his wife, who had also been suffering from Alziemers the last 8 years, out of the house. Unfortunately she did not survive the trauma she endured.
