Help Candice Get Back On Her Feet
During the Snowcopalypse of Seattle our dear friend and coworker Candice Wells suffered quite a misfortune.
On Friday, February 8th, while on her way to work, Candice slipped and fractured BOTH ANKLES, requiring plates and screws in each. Her surgery was at Swedish First Hill and she recovered there briefly while waiting for a bed in a rehab center closer to home.

This was the worse of the two.

After a short but eventful visit at Stafford Healthcare at Ridgemont this week, she will begin the road to recovery at home.

Her first follow-up visit is this week to check the progress of her healing. In the meantime she has been busy with physical therapy getting strong for crutches.
Candice remains her usual cheery, smart, witty and upbeat self throughout all of this, and welcomes visits from friends.
What you can do:
This event has exhausted her sick leave and vacation pay. She is the primary support for her household which includes her elderly mother and any visiting cats. Any funds raised will be used for medical expenses and to replace lost income from work for essentials such as rent, food, groceries and utilities.
At this point in her healing Candice does not have a timeline for returning to work. We know she will have at the very least deductibles, insurance copays and physical therapy, in addition to the expenses of daily living.
Please consider helping Candice through this tough time with a donation.
