Help us open Bobcat Bonnie's

Friends/Family and Supporters- As most of you probably know, it has always been our dream to open a restaurant. We have been working hard over the past year to get to this point, and now, the dream is finally becoming a reality! We have finalized the deal and everything is in place - we are setting this up so that you all have the opportunity to join us in accomplishing this dream.

The Location: Approximately one block North of old Tigers Stadium, in the historic Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, currently known as "O'Blivions Cafe." Conveniently located right on Michigan Ave., close to I-75 and M-10, and in the middle of all of the new business development happening in the neighborhood. The timing and location couldn't be better! Our landlord's family has a longstanding history with the building, and the community as a whole. The building has been in their family since the 1960's- back when it was a restaurant called "The Devil." Mike, our landlord, took over about 20 years ago and reopened it as O'Blivions, which served lunch to the area up until 8 months ago, when he decided to close the doors. And this is where we come in...

The Concept: We want to create a fun, classy environment that fits in with the Corktown area. Our menu will focus on fresh ingredients, made in-house, at a price that everyone can afford. Focusing on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients (as much as we can), the menu will change seasonally to reflect that. We want this concept to appeal to everyone - from the culinarily adventurous to those who simply want a great meal at an affordable price. We want to take this concept and add in amazing service, great drinks, and a fun, clean atmosphere. As an added bonus, we are also one of a few locations in the neighborhood that has on-site parking! This will a versatile concept- a place for lunch with coworkers, a casual but cool date night, meet-up spot before the big game on the weekends, etc.! We are making some small cosmetic changes to freshen up the space, to coincide with the rest of our vision. We really want to make a big impression on the neighborhood and be that go-to spot that everyone hangs out at.

The Need: Our need is simple- the more money we can get the more we can do inside the space. Although we have secured our minimum funding goal for the project we are now creating this account for our friends, family, local Detroiters, and everyone in-between who may be inspired to donate to help us achieve our dream in the city we love. Any amount helps and is immensely appreciated!

We want to thank you all in advance for helping us out with our project- you have no idea how much this means. We are beyond excited to build Bobcat Bonnie's into a Detroit restaurant institution and are thrilled to share this experience with all of you.
