Let’s Help Jenna!

My name is Maria and I’ve started this GoFundMe for Jenna because she holds a special place in our families heart. We would love to help her as much as she has helped us.

On Friday November 5th Jenna received the message that she had tested positive for COVID-19.

It all started when she wasn’t really feeling well and was having a really hard time breathing. She had recently had a procedure done which helps with her MS but does leave her extremely vulnerable to viruses. Now Jenna had taken all the necessary precautions since the pandemic started (including becoming partially vaccinated) but with an already compromised immune system fighting even a common virus wasn’t easy. She worked a little doing pick up and drop offs of children from school and sometimes watching them on professional development days.

After suffering at home for 7 days, on November 10th Jenna was admitted the the Peter Loughheed Hospital and on top of COVID was diagnosed with Pneumonia and placed on oxygen. On November 12th they made the difficult decision to move her to ICU and place her in a medical induced coma in order to intubate her as her levels had dipped to under 40%. Just talking had become to much.

As of today (November 18th) they have started to wake her up and her oxygen levels have risen and stabilized a bit. She’s still not fully awake but did show some emotion when her mom came to visit her. She is still intubated and they will hopefully be removing that soon to see if she can breath on her own.

Jenna donates her time to animals and will help anyone in need. My hope with this GoFundMe account is that we can help lesson the financial burden she will face once released from the hospital.
