Please help me take my dad back home.

Hi all, my name is Giselle. That beautiful man in the cover is my dad. He was sick with stage 4 cancer and wanted to travel to Cancun to finally “get to see all the pretty beaches”. After receiving clearance from his doctors, we decided to fly as a family to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Everything was a dream, until it turned into the worst nightmare possible.

On May 13, 2024, my dad suffered a heart attack and passed away. I don’t wish this pain on my worst enemy. And to make things worse, we had to pay unimaginable bills to cover his medical expenses that weren’t even remotely close to what he needed to survive. The only comfort I find is that I got to show him a new world, and he got to experience is with me, my mom, his grandson, and his son in law who loved him like nothing else.

We are an Ecuadorian family and my dad’s last wish was to be transferred to Ecuador to be buried next to his mother. I have done everything to help my dad through this battle with cancer and want to grant and do one last thing for him. Transferring costs us another great amount of money that we simply don’t have.

I never thought I would be in a position where I make an emergency like this, public and find myself needing to ask for donations but alas, life sucks sometimes and the worst things happen all at once.
