My name is Niall Greathead. I was born with Cerebral palsy and have always used mobility aids. A few years ago I was introduced to the JOYS of an electric wheelchair. This gave me an extra level of freedom and meant that I could go go about life without having to take other mobility aids such as crutches.

The electric wheelchair has given me increased freedom because I do not have to rely on others to push me therefore meaning my companions can have a more relaxing time.

It is important to me to maintain a level of freedom and joy with the assistance of friends and family that only an electric wheelchair can bring, such as safe travelling around the country to see my family. It's also important to me just for everyday use so I can continue to serve the community I grew up in.

Recently I have to spend money on repairs to my current chair which total into the hundreds of pounds and I have been informed that my current electric wheelchair is unable to have many more repairs to the area that needs repairing.

This is why I am raising money to get a better quality chair so I can continue to serve my community in the way I do
