Help Fund Nana's Memorial

Hey everyone, it’s not easy for me to make this right now, but this past Friday Nov 16th I got a call from my mom that I had been dreading but was not a total surprise. My Nana had passed away. I told her I'd come right home. Unfortunately I had some bad news of my own. I had been laid off from my job. For the past year my mother has been taking care of her as she’s gotten progressively more sick. She had Parkinsons, COPD, Emphysema, beat Lung Cancer and most recently was diagnosed with Leukemia. My mom has been her sole caregiver, taking her to all of her doctors appointments and monitoring her medications, doing her grocery shopping, preparing her meals, doing her laundry and helping her to bathe.  During the last 6 months, my Nana could no longer walk on her own and needed a transport chair. Mom, who has Lupus, has had to forego many of her own Doctor’s appointments and treatments to make sure my grandmother got the treatment she needed.  Nana lived on a fixed income which covered rent and other basic necessities but medicare didn't cover everything.  For the past year I have been the sole provider for both households. I had a steady job, which didn’t pay much, but it paid the bills. We thought we had more time. More time to to prepare for what we knew was coming but what you can never really prepare for. And now that I don’t have the job things are a bit more complicated. I never thought I’d be doing this but we could really use some help so we don’t lose her apartment and still be able to afford cost of properly handling all of her final expenses. My mom can start to concentrate on her health and get back on her feet. Until then...If anyone has any leads on work in NYC or can help just give any amount of money it would be a major help.
