Support Allegra's Transition Journey

Hello,

My name is Allegra, I'm 26 years old, and I'm a trans-feminine entertainer in Orlando Florida.

That feels good to say.

I began transitioning (fully, through HRT) one year ago and it is truly the best decision I have ever made for myself. My entire life began to make sense, and I finally feel comfortable in my own skin. However, especially in Florida, transitioning is tough, and extremely costly. Aside from covering my hormones and physician visits, I also receive laser hair removal services on my face. This has been extremely costly, but priceless when it comes to my comfort.

Now that I have hit my 1 year mark, I am a candidate for FFS, or Facial Feminization Surgery. This life-changing surgery is something I have wanted to have done for years now, and to think it may actually be a possibility is insane. But of course, nothing good comes free, and as you can imagine, a surgery like this is very costly. Thankfully, I do have medical insurance, but unfortunately this surgery has the potential to not be covered, or covered with a large out of pocket expense. Aside from that, the recovery period will be around a month. Meaning, I will not be able to work, perform, or provide for myself for a month following surgery. Of course this is a major expense, which is why I am setting up this GoFundMe. :)
