Help the Grapensteter-Guck-Giullari Family After Tragic Loss

It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the tragic loss of two truly incredible people — Theresa Giullari and Jim Guck — who lost their lives in a devastating boating accident on Lake Tahoe, June 21, 2025.

Theresa and Jim were the heart of the Grapensteter, Guck, and Giullari family (The 3 G's), and their passing has left a hole that words can’t begin to fill. They were not only loving parents and devoted family members, but also proud grandparents, who poured their hearts into every moment spent with their grandchildren. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines, offering a warm hug, or passing on stories and traditions, they were constant, joyful presences in the lives of those they loved most.

This family took me in without hesitation and treated me as one of their own. That’s who they were — selfless, kind, generous, and full of love. Theresa and Jim made a difference in every life they touched. Their home was a place of laughter, warmth, and belonging — a reflection of the love they shared with the world.

Theresa and Jim were adventurous souls through and through — always seeking new experiences, embracing nature, and finding joy in the simple beauty of the world around them. Whether it was being out on the water, exploring new places, or sharing stories by the fire, they lived life with open hearts and fearless spirits. It brings some small comfort to know that they left this world doing exactly what they loved — together, on the water, surrounded by the peace and freedom they cherished so deeply.
