What went from a vivacious little girl who loves to play swim and play with all of her toys and her hello Kitty car recently had a high fever and was not getting any better they found that there might be something more going on after some testing the doctors concurred. That she needed to be sent to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital for further evaluation because she had an enlarged liver and spleen and high fever, after a team of doctors did several testings on little Gabby they performed a bone marrow biopsy as well as a lumbar puncture or a.k.a. spinal tap to find out that Gabby has leukemia as this is now been confirmed this could possibly be a 2 1/2 year journey for her and her family to go through. There will be several tests, several medications, chemotherapy and other necesseties to put Gabby in remission. Gabby's parents are with her at the hospital in Pittsburgh three hours away from their home they cannot leave her side as the journey begins. Gabby will first undergo a blood transfusion and a port placed to receive her infusions. These infusions will take place weekly at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh as we all know these can be very costly events to take place with travel and many extra expenses we ask that you all continue to pray and donate whatever you can to help the Colegrove's at this time we will all be brave for Gabby and shower them with love and much needed support especially hugs from near to far.
