My daughter Teresa, 13 years old, was born with cerebral palsy and global developmental delays as the result of a rare genetic mutation. To say my world was shattered and devastated upon learning the diagnosis is an understatement.
The right school makes all the difference in the world for any child. For us, that school is The Childrens Therapy Center. We have been blessed and fortunate to have Teresa enrolled in school at the Children's Therapy Center where she attends on a daily basis. She began at one and a half years old in their Early Enrichment Program and has been attending full time on a daily basis beginning at three years old where she has thrived and exceeded all medical and personal expectations. She is surrounded by a caring, therapeutic and educational environment which is both a joy and a comfort to my family to witness her continued progress and growth on a daily basis.
The school has an outstanding educational curriculum and therapeutic program which serves children with developental and physical disabilities. I can't tell you how I am grateful for all the school has offered through the years and how much it has enhanced and helped shape Teresa. It helps Teresa, and other children become the best that they can be and reach their true potential. Families like ours rely upon their guidance and skill on a daily basis, from occpational, speech and physical therapies to their school instruction and special activities such as riding horses "Pony Power", swim and dance.
The school now hopes to achieve its dream by building a new Upper School/High School which will serve students from the ages of 13-21. Please help by donating and helping the school to achieve its dream and in turn helping Teresa and others to continue to grow and reach their true potential.
