Hola soy Yuli! necesito tu ayuda para poder seguir pagando todas mis cuentas de salud lastimosamente de un momento a otro mi salud se vio afectada después de comer un sushi que me causó una infección terrible de Salmonella, tifoidea.

Estuve 23 días en el hospital de los cuales unos estuve en el piso de cuidados especiales.

Tuve que pasar por una cirugía de alto riesgo debido a que me diagnosticaron con pancreatitis (operar con pancreatitis es muy peligroso, ningún cirujano me quería operar). Horas después de haber sobrevivido a mi cirugía me dio un ACV y a consecuencia tengo un parálisis en todo el lado derecho de mi cuerpo y rostro.

Viví noches de dolor incesante en las que ningún fármaco me hacía efecto; ni siquiera una sedación fuerte (la que se usa para intubar) lograba calmarme. Estuve en la unidad de cuidados especiales porque debían mantenerme monitorizada.

En esos momentos, entre dolor y desesperación —noches sin dormir, sin poder beber agua, sin poder respirar bien por el dolor (imagina sentir que cada nervio de tu cuerpo duele: los dientes, la cabeza, la nariz, las costillas, la espalda—) , y sin comer 16 días, porque me dieron alimentación asistida. La pusieron primero en un brazo y dolía muchísimo; finalmente tuvieron que colocarme una vía central en la yugular para seguir alimentándome, la cual terminó causando una infección varios días después y tuvieron que retirarla de emergencia.

Finalmente mi cuerpo empezó como una especie de colapso nervioso y no había medicamento que me quite el dolor, me diagnosticaron con LES (lupus) con afectación al sistema nervioso y páncreas / SAF Catastrófico.

Actualmente estoy en silla de ruedas, no me valgo por mi misma y necesito mucha medicina, terapias, atención de diferentes médicos, cuentas hospitalarias.

El valor hasta el momento estoy de más de $25.000 y se nos sale de las manos poder pagar esto. Gracias a Dios he recibido ayudas y el monto ha bajado a $22.000

Hello, I’m Yuli! I need your help so I can continue paying all my medical bills. Unfortunately, my health took a terrible turn after eating sushi that caused a severe Salmonella and Typhoid infection.

I spent 23 days in the hospital, several of them in the special care unit.

I had to undergo a high-risk surgery because I was diagnosed with pancreatitis (operating with pancreatitis is extremely dangerous—no surgeon wanted to operate on me). Hours after surviving surgery, I suffered a stroke (CVA) which left me with paralysis on the entire right side of my body and face.

I lived through endless nights of pain where no medication helped; not even strong sedatives (the kind used for intubation) could ease my pain. I was kept in the special care unit because I had to be constantly monitored.

During those moments—between pain and despair, sleepless nights, unable to drink water or breathe properly because of the pain (imagine feeling every nerve in your body hurting: your teeth, your head, your nose, your ribs, your back)—I couldn’t eat for 16 days and was fed through assisted nutrition. They first placed it in my arm, which caused terrible pain, and later had to insert a central line through my jugular vein to continue feeding me. That line became infected after several days and had to be removed urgently.

Eventually, my body went through something like a nervous system collapse, and no medication could stop the pain. I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) affecting my nervous system and pancreas, and Catastrophic Antiphospholipid Syndrome (CAPS).

I’m currently in a wheelchair, unable to take care of myself, and I need a lot of medication, therapies, and follow-ups with different doctors, as well as to cover hospital expenses.

The total amount so far is over $25,000, and it’s beyond what we can afford. Thanks to God and some kind people, the amount has been reduced to $22,000, but I still need help to cover the rest.
