Dickman Family Medical Funds

Donation protected

On Friday July 7, the unimaginable happened. Canen Dickman, the second child of Pam and Todd Dickman, collapsed and went into cardiac arrest while running at soccer practice. Canen’s coaches heroically performed CPR and used the AED to bring Canen back to us. Canen was taken by ambulance to Riverside Hospital and then transferred to Children's Hospital.

Multiple tests including CT scans and MRIs were performed to see what damage may have occurred and what caused this to happen. Thankfully there doesn't seem to be any brain damage. Canen's heart still has a lot of inflammation around it and there are a lot of unanswered questions. For now, Canen is home and wearing a vest that has a built-in monitor and AED. He will go back for more testing in about six weeks when hopefully more inflammation has gone down.

Please consider donating to the Dickman family to help with the financial burden of two ambulance rides, multiple tests, and several nights in the hospital. More bills will continue to come as they have more tests yet to perform. In addition, please pray for Canen and the Dickman family. This was quite unexpected and life-changing. They are thankful to God that Canen is on the road to recovery and are leaning on their faith to get them through this.
