Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 10th, 2022. I had to temporarily leave work and I won’t be getting much money to survive just being on EI. I was told by Ontario works that I have no choice but to go on EI and this will be the last month of getting help from them. That means no help for rent, food and no help for my medication that I really need. I got the odsp papers and brought them in to my doctor but I need help asap. I have a 10 year old daughter as well and I can’t even imagine not being able to pay for barely anything. I’ll be having surgery this summer for a mastectomy and later on implants. I’ll be in a lot of pain and won’t even have coverage for pain medication. Please anything helps….
