Community COVID-19 Relief Fund
COVID-19 has impacted many people's ability to provide for basic needs like rent, food, and utilities. Although the the federal stimulus package provided relief for many, some members of our community such as undocumented workers, underemployed Native Americans, and others have been left out. Together, let's make sure no one falls through the cracks by providing financial assistance to our community in need.

Testimony # 2
Hello, my name is Edi Esparza and I'm a True North leader. We arrived in Humboldt approximately six months ago. How has the pandemic affected my family? It has affected us all . Upon arrival we requested political asylum and as you can see, we cannot work until we are granted a work permit. We are two families which had to separate upon arrival: one family went to a brother & sister and the other family with another brother. We now depend from my brother. My brother job has reduced work hours and it does affect us and; because everything that has to do with immigration has closed, we have had no response of a work permit approval yet. Because of this pandemic we are waiting for a response and this is affecting us a lot. Thank you.
Testimony #3
The identity has been concealed due to the immigration status.
I'm a leader at True North group and I have been here at Humboldt for twelve years and in these twelve years that I have been here; I have never lived a pandemic like the one we are going thru and to me personally, it affects me to be indoors all the time and thinking about what’s going to happen later; we lost our jobs and we have to pay rent, bills; its stressful, its stressful just to think about tomorrow.
