Please Help My Friend Judy Get Back on the Road

Hi, my name is Melissa Lorello, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart for my dear friend, Judy. Shes a fellow artist and we met on an art retreat a couple of years ago. She’s one of those genuinely kind, caring souls who would give the shirt off her back to help someone else — but right now, she’s the one who needs a little help.

Judy recently moved to a new state, hoping for a fresh start and to be closer to family. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone as planned. She doesn’t really know anyone there, and the support she thought she’d have just hasn’t been there. It breaks my heart knowing she’s struggling so much and feeling so alone.

The hardest part lately is that her car broke down, and she simply can’t afford to get it fixed. That car was her lifeline — her way to get to food banks, church, doctor’s appointments, and just out into the world. Now she’s stuck at home in her apartment with her two dogs, unable to get around. I can only imagine how isolating that must feel.

Judy also has some health challenges that make having reliable transportation really important. I wish I could pay for the repairs myself, but like so many of us right now, I’m doing what I can just to make ends meet. Still, I couldn’t just sit by and do nothing — so I started this GoFundMe in hopes that together, we could help her get back on the road and back on her feet.

Our goal is $2,500, which will go toward repairing Judy’s car and helping her cover some immediate transportation-related expenses while she’s getting back on track.
