For Anthony: TBI Recovery and Rehab
Donation protected
Anthony passed away unexpectedly on December 11th surrounded by his family. He was a true warrior and fought hard, and we are all lost without him. He will be flown into Mobile Tuesday night and have a police escort to the funeral home. Service date and time TBA, probably Saturday the 22nd. After the service he will be flown to Virginia for burial at a later date in Arlington National cemetery, which will be led by the Ceremonial Guard.
On May 16th Anthony LaFrenier (age 16) was involved in a serious car accident leaving him in ICU with an extensive list of injuries. He's been in critical condition but fighting every day. This kid is nothing less than amazing. And, yes, I am writing this as his big sister and don't deny that I'm biased, but if you ask anyone who knows him they would tell you the same. He's extremely smart and very hardworking. At only 16 he'd already saved up enough money for his own car. Every day our family goes without hearing his excited laugh or just fussing with his twin brother is excruciating. We want him back so badly. By his side is a huge and loving family who is struggling to stay positive in this fight with him. We all have a very long road to travel with the extensive hospital stay, missed work, and what is sure to be a long journey with physical therapy. My goal here is to help support my parents who are sacrificing work and anything and everything else to be by his side. Any contribution would be a step toward relieving some of the financial burden that comes with caring for a child with serious injuries. For all of you who love Anthony, and those who just know of his story through friends and family, I'll regularly update this page with the progress of his healing as much as possible. Please know that any help you can offer will be so appreciated. Feel free to share this page. The beneficiary of these funds is Anthony's mother Elizabeth Jones as well as the rest of his immediate family including his father Mark, sister Sarah, and twin brother Jack. Anthony will be in the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for at least another month.
