Family and Friends,
Last Wednesday (December 19th), Ellyn's mini-van was stolen here in Memphis. She had just paid it off a week prior but due to it being an older vehicle, she only had liability insurance coverage and will not receive any compensation. The police have told her they will no longer be looking for it, and if it does turn up in the weeks to come, it will likely be damaged.
As many of you know, Ellyn works for a non-profit and daily uses her vehicle as a means to transport children in the after-school programs. She also uses her vehicle and much of her spare time to give rides to those who need it, take kids to church with her and help people move. It's easily one of her biggest tools for blessing and serving those around her.
Unfortunately, because she had just paid off the van that was stolen, she does not have any funds to put towards a replacement vehicle. We would love to see the same community that she has poured so much of herself into turn back around and bless her in this time of need! She is looking for a used car and our starting goal is $4000. We know a reliable car will most likely be a few thousand more than that but we hope that this is a good starting place.
Also, if you know of a reliable, used car currently for sale, please share that info with us. All funds collected will go straight to Ellyn to use towards the purchase of a new vehicle.
