My name is Abeer. I am 26 years old and I am from Gaza. I graduated in Accounting with excellence. My husband is 30 years old, an employee, and also a graduate in Accounting.
We got married only 20 days before the war began. We were full of dreams for a simple, safe life, but the war took everything from us.
When the war started, I was pregnant. We lived through fear, displacement, and severe hunger. Under this unbearable pressure, I lost my baby at 11 weeks of pregnancy. It was my first heartbreak.
In November 2023, our home was destroyed. Since then, we were forced to move from one place to another until we finally settled in one small room in a relative’s house, shared with three other families. Despite everything, we tried to survive with dignity.
In December 2024, my husband opened a small street stall to provide for us. But tragedy struck again.
My husband was seriously injured while working at his stall. Since that day, he has been unable to walk or move and is now bedridden, unable to work or support us.
Our entire life collapsed. I became everything at once: a wife, a husband, a caregiver, and the only support, carrying my husband’s pain and the heavy burden of an uncertain future.
My greatest dream is to become a mother. We tried to think about pregnancy again, but doctors told us that it is very difficult due to the extreme fear, stress, and psychological pressure we are living under.
My dream is simple:
To see my husband stand on his feet again
To see him heal, walk, work, and provide for us
To become a mother and hold a child I have been longing for
I am asking for your support to help us with my husband’s medical treatment, our basic needs, and to give us a chance to rebuild our lives after losing everything.
Any support, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in our lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who stands with us
