Hi my name is Abu Halimah, and I'm fundraising to help my Niece and her distressed family who escaped from the hell of war raging in Gaza to survive after losing everything.
Kindly read her below story:
Hello everyone, my name is Noha Ashour from Gaza.
Why am I asking you for help?
• I was born on a land other than the land of Palestine. At the age of eight, my father took us back to Gaza, where I grew up, loved, married, and gave birth to three most beautiful creatures, my two daughters and my son.
• Israel launched several wars on the Gaza Strip, but this October 7 war declared, since its outbreak, that its most important goal was to get rid of us, the 2.3 million Gazans, whether by killing or displacement!
• Our home is in Tal al-Hawa, which is one of the first areas that was declared an area from which its residents must leave to safe places in the center or south of the Strip. We did not comply at first, we just left the house; When our house was directly targeted, we took refuge in Al-Quds Hospital. We stayed for a month, during which we were close to death, as the Israeli army continuously targeted the hospital and its surroundings.
• Then we realized that we had to move away from northern Gaza, believing that the safe places declared by Israel were located south of Wadi Gaza. The situation was relatively less dangerous on the outskirts of Rafah, where a family hosted us in an annex inside their farm. But the danger began to increase after about a month, and it seemed to us that the safest solution was to flee to Egypt. This required:
o He left the farm due to the approaching bombing and lived in a tent inside the city of Rafah. Those weeks in that tent were the most difficult, during which my children suffered from intestinal diseases due to lack of hygiene and colds due to the weather. The most painful thing was that I hated the most beautiful thing about nature that I loved about it... rain!
o Making almost daily trips to the crossing (mostly on foot) to beg the Egyptian authorities to allow us to cross and force ourselves to endure the fading of our dream of returning to our home.
• I had to incur a large debt to pay the amount we were asked to obtain a crossing permit to Egypt.
• We now live with my mother in her rented apartment, so we have ten of us. My older brother joined us. He and his family suffered as much as I suffered and more. We parted ways after we left the farm to meet him at my mother’s house in Cairo, Egypt. Egypt the country that my mother holds its nationality.
What I need
• My legal status in Egypt has not been determined yet, and I do not receive any aid (neither material nor in-kind) from anyone. The labor market in Egypt may not allow me to get a job . The expenses of daily life for a family of five represent a significant burden. My children have missed out on the current school year, and I intend to not miss out on any of the upcoming school years. I plan to start the “Foods from Gaza” project from home as a start, and the required capital is about 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars) to rent a large apartment and equip it and equip its kitchen.
• Debt is a heavy burden. I am talking about what I paid to leave Gaza to Egypt. If we return to our home in Tal al-Hawa, rebuilding it (or restoring it) will be a debt I will commit to make my children happy. This means about 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars)
