Jasmine’s road to recovery

Hello, 

I am reaching out for help. Johnny and I have experienced one of the worst things that anyone could imagine. On May the 18th the unthinkable happened. On our first family vacation to south padre island we were involved in a devasting 1200 lb golf cart accident. At 8 months pregnant the golf cart flipped and landed directly on top of me. In desperate measures to save my unborn child I dislocated and crushed my shoulder bones in 4 different places.  I also suffered lacerations from my head to my toes.

Sadly, during my hospital stay things began to get a bit fatal as my heart rate began dropping and my oxygen levels dropped drastically.  Since the accident I’ve been put under anesthesia and intubation two times. Thankfully my unborn child is okay but I’ve had to undergo 2 surgeries & add metal plates and screws to fix my arm/shoulder. 

We are beyond blessed to say that I am still alive, and our baby is still on schedule to be born July 17, 2021.

My hospital bills are quickly adding up, I am unable to work, drive, care for my kids, dress/bathe myself, cook, clean, or do anything alone. I have extensive occupational therapy that I have to undergo and my recovery time is estimated at 6months. In addition to therapy, a at home nurse will be required along with additional medical supplies that we need at home.

Johnny has had to take additional time off from work, but we are doing everything we can to get back on track. With our daughter being due in 7 weeks,  I am unsure of how I will even care for her let alone to even hold her.... Johnny will have to take additional time off from work again to help care for me, babygirl, and our 2 boys.

It truly pains us to even be in this situation because we are not accustomed to having to ask for help. We are unsure of how much additional money we may need moving forward, but as of right now this is where we are. This will be a long road to recovery, so we kindly ask for prayers, and any help that you are able to provide.
