I am here to offer a sincere 'thank you' to each and every one of you who made this happen! It is a testament to Sam's network that came here to support her in her time of need.
She is overwhelmed and grateful to all of your help. She is quite shocked that people she doesn't even know contributed to her recovery. I too am awed by your generosity to help someone that you've never even met! You guys are awesome.
She was allowed to access her apartment ONE TIME to recover her most essential documents. She has access to her unit one more time next week to get some more essentials. She's unfortunately not allowed to bring anyone that wasn't on her lease so it's a slow process.
Again, on behalf of Sam and me, thank you for helping out. You are all an amazing crew.

Hi there, I'm here to rally all of us who love Sam rebuild her oasis and get her back on her feet.
On Wednesday, 12/20, I got a text from Sam saying her apartment building is on fire. At the same time, my Citizen app chimed, showing me the event unfold and the extent of it. The fire turned into a 5-alarm event and 160 families, including Sam, was left on the streets with all of their belongings in ruins just before the holidays.
Fortunately, Sam was at work and safe. She also has a good head on her shoulders and was grateful no one was hurt, she didn't have a pet that was trapped though her beloved plants are likely gone. She is grateful that she didn't lose anything that can't be replaced.
BUT it does all have to be replaced. All of it.
Please contribute what you can to help our beloved friend get back on her feet.
