My oldest daughter suffered two strokes at the age of 37 and 39. The last one disabled her to the extent that she could no longer parent her two little boys. They were forced to leave and live with their father. That was 8 years ago. She came to live with me, her mother. We did everything including selling my home so we could go to a special brain trauma unit at Enloe hospital in California. That was five years ago. Since then my daughter has improved but will always need care. She is ready to inhabit a home of her own with the assistance of caregivers. Her desired location is in the hometown where she grew up. Her sister and family live there also. We have succeeded in getting a small down, but the mobile home is $28000, and needs to be a cash purchase. With a home of her own, she can have her boys come visit more often, and i wont worry about her care once i have passed.
