April 26th, I had dinner with my mother. We talked about the future. About work. About where life was taking us. My mother joked about how at the age of 63, she still had about 12 good hardworking years in her to get a lot of things done that she wanted to achieve. The night was filled with laughter, wine, and hope.
April 27th, my life was completely turned upside down.
My mother was complaining of a headache but unable to move her body or open her eyes. After calling an ambulance and hours later sitting in the emergency room - we would find out that my mother had over a dozen tumors in her brain.
Despite not having any syptoms or issues prior, the doctors described her brain as having a spiderweb of tumors and that any time beyond a few hours was borrowed time; there was nothing that they could do.
5 days later my mother suffered a brain hemmorhage and was unresponsive the following 7 days until the time of her passing. Her obituary is featured
here
.
This was completely unexpected. Diana did not have insurance of any kind as the least expensive she could find was $750 a month with a $6500 deductable. She did not have life insurance, keymans insurance for her company, funeral insurance, or any coverage what so ever.
With the exception of my grandfather, 89 living in England mouring the death of his daughter, I have no other close family to help with this. I am alone in trying to manage her final wishes, managing her personal affairs, and taking care of her rambuncious 1 year old German Shephard.
Now, in trying to bury my mother, the costs have exceed $7500 already with more bills coming in related to her final days. With there being nothing in her estate to cover these expenses, I am alone in the efforts of burying my mother, my best friend, and my only family.
Any help that you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Further, as gofundme takes nearly 10% of each transaction, I am also accepting help via Paypal (friends and family transfer) or Venmo (contact me for email address if needed).
Once again, I thank you for your help in these very tough times.
