Help Us Support Our Daughter’s Recovery and Family During a Difficult Time

On December 21, 2024, my daughter, who had been away from my care for the past two years, returned home to me. We were so excited to have her back, but our joy quickly turned to worry. Shortly after her arrival, she began experiencing severe stomach pain. Initially, a doctor assured us it was just a stomach bug, but after a few days, her condition worsened and she couldn’t even move due to the pain.

It turns out, she was suffering from appendicitis. She was quickly flown to a pediatric hospital, where she has been receiving amazing care. We’ve been here since Sunday, and while we’re so grateful for the medical attention she’s receiving, the financial strain is becoming a worry.

As the only one in our household able to work, I am struggling to balance my time between caring for my daughter in the hospital and providing for our family. Thankfully we have help with our younger 3 children at the moment. With very minimal hours at work and the added costs of food, hygiene supplies, and some hospital expenses, we are struggling. To make matters worse, our daughter missed out on Christmas and New Year’s while dealing with her health crisis.
