"You've got cancer."
Those words are among the most devastating we can probably hear. And it's even worse when it's referring to your dog. Dogs are supposed to be innocent givers of joy. They shouldn't get cancer. But they do...
Sadly, my beloved dog Oliver has been given a cancer diagnosis. The good news is that it seems to be manageable. The bad news is that the treatments are very expensive, beyond what my budget can easily handle. So I'm reaching out with hopes that some of you who have been touched by Oliver—or you've touched him (you know how much he likes to be petted)—can chip in to help with the treatments.
My goal here seems to be high, but that's the price of veterinary medicine these days. Too bad Oliver doesn't qualify for Medicare. Whatever you can give will help. I know money's tight these days, but Oliver is hoping that he's worked his way into your heart enough that you're willing to click the donate button.
