Help Jay Fight Cancer!

In January 2024, Jay faced a sudden health crisis when a lump in his neck, initially thought to be related to dental issues, turned out to be Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Despite the shock, Jay bravely underwent surgery on March 15th to remove the tumor located in his throat's sub-tonsil area.

Thankfully, the surgery went as well as expected, but Jay's battle is far from over. Jay has taken a leave of absence from The Alley Cantina and is currently recovering from the latest surgery, supported by his loving partner, Luisa, and faithful companion, Hound Dog. While the immediate threat has been addressed, Jay still faces the daunting prospect of radiation and chemotherapy treatments to eradicate the remaining cancer cells. His treatments will be 5 days a week for 5 weeks straight in Santa Fe, NM.

As a tight-knit community, we've all been touched by Jay's kindness and generosity. Whether he's been your favorite bartender, helped us move, been our designated driver, or shared his (my) famous sausage bread, Jay has always been there for us. Now, it's our turn to rally around him.

Your donations will directly contribute to Jay's ongoing medical expenses, including the upcoming treatments and any unforeseen costs. Additionally, we want Jay to have the freedom to use these funds as he sees fit during this challenging time.
