Bernard Ledlow, that's my dad. He has had a rough life but nothing he couldn't overcome. Yes, he did alot of time but that never stopped him from trying to be a dad to me. He recently done 16 years in the federal penitentiary where he really grew up at. Imagine that, i can't. He came home May 1, 2019 with one thing on his mind-FAMILY. He got a really good job and started working. He was a hard worker. I looked up to him. He taught me so much about money that I feel like I could be next Dave Ramesy. My dad loved with his whole heart and if he loved you, you knew it. The last 2 months of his life were hard for him, for my mom, and for me, probably my lil brother too. My dad was determined on making up for lost time. He had been away so long that we have come to understand that he was institutionalized. I believe my dad knew that to a certain extent but it didn't stop him from trying to have a normal life. Being an only child, his mom was overly excited to have him home after so many years. Tragedy hit only a few weeks after his release last May. His step dad, Micheal Doucet, passed away May 30 and then his mom, Debbie Doucet, passed away unexpectedly on October 24. After that day my dad hadn't been the same. He was hurt. He missed his mom. I know that God has a plan and purpose for everything. I apologize to anyone that has been hurt by my dads words or actions. He really didn't mean any harm. He needed help and unfortunately we weren't able to get that for him.
My wish is to have a funeral for him and have him buried. My mom is doing the best she can to make that happen for me. If you are able to help it would be greatly appreciated!
Love, Damian
