Hello everyone!

I’m Shana, a cat from Bogotá. As you see, I’m currently hospitalized because, like many kittens, I developed kidney failure that caused my organs to deform and become obstructed with stones which led to an infection. I’ve always been a very spoiled kitty, and I’m almost never alone at home since my family and I adopted each other.

All of these medical complications have put me in danger, and I would love to continue sharing many more years with my family. Even though they have spent their savings on me, the bills unfortunately keep increasing day by day. My family and I are asking for help from all the kind people who can donate and assist us financially. I need to continue being monitored in a specialized veterinary hospital to stabilize my health and become a candidate for urinary bypass surgery on both kidneys, and to protect me from the herpesvirus and calicivirus I contracted at birth.

It’s been 10 years since I came into their lives. I remember I was about two months old and walking around aimlessly/ I don’t recall how long. My little body itched terribly because I had so many parasites. When I arrived at a house full of plants, I meowed to ask if anyone was there. That was enough: someone heard my meow, came out for me, cleaned me up, and gave me water and food. From that moment on, we’ve been inseparable.

I’m so grateful to everyone who can help with donations and good wishes. I really want to be with my family again soon.

Hola a todos!

Soy Shana, una gatita de Bogota, y acá donde me ven estoy hospitalizada, pues, como a cualquier gatito me dío un fallo renal donde mis órganos se deformaron y causó la obstrucción de los mismos con unos cálculos que generaron infección; suelo ser una gatita muy consentida y prácticamente nunca estoy sola en casa porque ellos procuran estar todo el tiempo posible conmigo.

Amaría poder seguir compartiendo con mi familia, a pesar que han invertido sus ahorros en mí las cuentas solo suben y poco son de pedir ayuda, por esa razón soy yo quien les pide ayuda a ustedes con su donación. Pues tengo que seguir en revisión en el hospital veterinario especializado para estabilizar mi salud y ser candidata a la cirugía de bypass urinario de mis dos riñones y cuidarme del herpesvirus y calicivirus que contraje al momento de nacer.

Fue hace 10 años que llegué a sus vidas, recuerdo tenia más o menos dos meses y no recuerdo cuanto tiempo llevaba caminando sin rumbo, me picaba mucho mi cuerpecito porque tenía muchos parásitos, cuando llegue a una casa llena de plantitas y pregunté si había alguien por ahí; solo basto que escucharan mi maullido para salir por mi, me limpiaron, me ofrecieron agua y comida; desde ahí hemos sido INSEPARABLES.
